role
Patrick Volpe | Verity Resources
An ASX-listed exploration company focussed on precious and supply critical metals.
Verity Resources Limited (ASX: VRL, FSE: 48B0) is an exploration company operating in Western Australia (Gold), Brazil (REE, Lithium, Gold, PGE) and Botswana (Copper-Nickel-Silver-PGE).
The Monument Project in Western Australia is located in a well-established mining district which hosts excellent infrastructure and access including the sealed Leonora-to-Laverton road which runs directly through the Project, a gas pipeline and a sealed airstrip at Laverton. Si6’s 100%-owned MGP currently contains a 3.3Mt @ 1.4g/t Au for 154koz gold resource along banded iron formations (BIF) at both Korong and Waihi deposits. MGP contains multiple target styles of gold mineralization including BIFs and basalt-hosted, however, significant potential for large-tonnage deposits exists in the intrusion hosted targets which has been the focus since the BIF resource drilling.
Brazil JV – The company announced that on 8 February 2024, it had completed the acquisition of 50% interest of a Brazilian exploration portfolio which comprises 10 exploration licenses comprising 17,000 hectares in Brazil from Foxfire Metals Pty Ltd. The projects include three highly prospective rare earth elements (REE) licenses, two of which sit in the Caldera region of the state of Minas Gerais and are amongst Meteoric Resources (ASX: MEI) and Viridis Mining and Metals Ltd (ASX: VMM) REE projects at the REE rich Pocos de Caldas Alkaline Complex in south Minas Gerais.
The Maibele Project in Botswana is a nickel sulphide deposit related to ultramafic intrusions within mobile belt rocks and is broadly similar in style to other ultramafic intrusion-related mobile belt projects such as Nova-Bollinger (ASX:IGO), Julimar (ASX:CHN) and the globally significant Thompson Belt in Canada. These styles of nickel deposit are typified by a suite of associated metals that often include nickel, copper, cobalt and platinum group elements, all of which are present at the Maibele resource. The Maibele project currently hosts a resource of 2.4Mt @ 0.72% Ni and 0.21% Cu + PGMs + Co + Au. The Company’s portfolio contains an advanced Ni-Cu-Co-PGE resource at Maibele North and drilled high-grade Cu-Ag discoveries at Airstrip and Dibete.
ESG
Verity Resources has adopted an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework created by the World Economic Forum which includes 21 core metrics and disclosures. The Company’s strategy is to transition towards long term responsible and sustainable operations which will underpin shareholder value and work has commenced in formalising its strategy around ESG.
