David Spring

David Spring is the Managing Director and CEO of Eastern Gas (ASX:EGA), bringing more than 40 years of global petroleum industry experience to the company. His background spans senior executive and geoscience roles across major operators including BHP, Maersk Oil, Mubadala Petroleum, and Senex Energy, where he led onshore and offshore exploration, appraisal, and development programs in Australia, South America/Caribbean, and North Africa. He has overseen large‑scale gas projects such as the El Merk development in Algeria during his tenure with Maersk Oil, and has a long track record in delivering complex energy projects and business development initiatives. Spring holds a BSc (Hons) in Geophysics and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, reinforcing his technical and governance credentials.
